Polish Committee for Biomedical Engineering of SEPACTIVITY REPORT 2003-2004In 2003 the Committee organized six board and five plenary meetings. New regulations of the Committee were prepared and two Conferences were organized: on December 4-5, the Conference on "Cell Telephones and Health and Environment Protection. New Regulations and Studies Results" with 300 participants and on December 25th, the Conference on "New Methods and Arrangement for Medical Diagnostic" with 100 participants. In the latter, instrumentation for imaging and fast diagnosis of different organs was demonstrated. In 2004, three plenary and board meetings took place and the contribution on "Physical and Computer Modelling of Cerebral Blood Circulation" with 30 participants was presented. On December 10-11, the Committee is organizing the next National Conference on "Intelligent Instrumental Systems for Medical Diagnosis and Therapy". The Committee also cooperates with the International Centre of Biocybernetics (director - Prof. M. Nalecz), with the International Centre of Hearing and Speech (director - Prof. H. Skarzynski) and with the Centre of Excellence on Management of Health and Environmental Hazards (director - Dr M. Borysiewicz). The collaboration resulted in the arrangement of several conferences, seminars, symposia and international workshops.
