Medical and Biological Engineering Conference EMBEC'99 in Vienna (Austria),
November 4-7, 1999. For more detailed information including the preliminary

The most important facts on EMBEC'99
- The EMBEC'99 will be the greatest event in Biomedical Engineering in 1999
worldwide with nearly 950 papers (about 600 oral presentation, 350 poster
presentation).
- Papers have been submitted by authors from 55 countries.
- The papers have been reviewed by more than 100 international experts with
more than 90% of the papers seen by two reviwers.
- Highlights are:
- the presentation of Nobel Prize Laureate Prof. R. R. ERNST on 'From NMR to
MRI'
- 12 plenary lectures from outstanding experts on the most challenging topics
in BME.
- 14 special sessions dealing with subjects of highest relevance for BME in
the next millennium.
- 7 tutorials providing education and training in important BME
subdisciplines.
- workshops and seminars on 'hot' topics like TEMPERE and the EU Medical
Device Directive.
- Nobody with active interest in BME and its further development in the next
millennium should miss this conference. The EMBEC'99 in Vienna will reveal the
