Engineering of the Neuromuscular System

In this edition of IFMBE News you will find an article by Professor Roberto Merletti of the Politecnico di Torino in Italy. The article summarises the highly productive scientific work of this group. They must be congratulated on their achievements.

Roberto Merletti is also the Guest Editor of a forthcoming special section in Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing. This special section is titled "Neuromuscular Assessment of the Elderly". As I write, I am waiting for the final revision of the last two papers. I plan to publish this special edition in the July issue of Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing.
