The IASTED International Conference on Biomechanics - BioMech 2004

August 23-25, 2004
Honolulu, Hawaii

IMPORTANT DEADLINES ***UPDATED***
Submissions dueJune 1, 2004
Notification of acceptanceJune 15, 2004
Camera-ready manuscripts due  July 1, 2004
Registration DeadlineJuly 15, 2004

PURPOSE

BioMech 2004 will act as an international forum for researchers and practitioners interested in the advances in biomechanics and its applications in a wide range of fields. It is an opportunity to present and observe the latest research, results, and ideas in these areas. BioMech 2004 will aim to strengthen relationships between industry, research laboratories, and universities. All papers submitted to this conference will be peer evaluated by at least two reviewers. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality and contribution.

BioMech 2004 will be held in conjuction with the IASTED International conferences on Signal and Image Processing (SIP 2004), Intelligent Systems and Control (ISC 2004), and Robotics and Applications (RA 2004).

LOCATION

BioMech 2004 will take place at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel, located directly on beautiful Waikiki Beach. Situated in the city of Honolulu, on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, Waikiki was historically the playground of the Hawaiian nobility, and has since become one of the most famous beaches in the world. The soft sand and turquoise waters make it an attractive spot for swimmers, surfers, and other water enthusiasts. The city of Honolulu is the commercial and administrative center for the Hawaiian islands, and is filled with many fine restaurants, shopping centers, and cultural and historical attractions. Nearby attractions include Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head Crater, and the Polynesian Cultural Center.
