IFMBE support for delegates from developing countries attending the World Congress 2003 in Sydney


IFMBE has allocated funds for the partial support of delegates from developing countries. We will support one or two individuals from each developing country listed below:
Ukraine, China, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Columbia, Latvia, Cuba, Thailand.

To be eligible for support you must present a paper at the World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering in Sydney.

The support extends to a maximum of 1,000 USD per individual. Payment of which will be made to the individual in Sydney.

The application form for partial sponsorship is downloadable from the WC 2003 (www.wc2003.org) and IFMBE ( www.ifmbe.org) web sites, or can be acquired from the ad hoc committee chair (address below).

Priority will be determined according to the following criteria with (1) being the highest priority:

  1. You are presenting an invited paper
  2. You are presenting a contributed paper or poster/
  3. You are a Delegate of the National IFMBE affiliated Society to the IFMBE General Assembly
  4. You are officially endorsed by the applicant's national society (a letter to this effect must accompany your application)

All applications shall be considered by the ad hoc committee, whose decision shall be final.

A completed and signed form must reach the Chair of the ad hoc Support Committee no later than May 30, 2003. Those eligible for partial support will be informed of the Committee's decision by June 15, 2003.
