Major Tasks Carried Out:

  1. Purchase, installation and commission of complete equipment and building for the Gynaecological Cancer Centre, Zagreb (linear accelerator, simulator, mammograph, isotope afterloading machines, etc.)
  2. Design and prototype construction of a foetal heart monitor manufactured by the Iskra Co, Kranj, (type DEUT 1).
  3. Commission of medical ultrasound equipment for the University Gynaecological Hospital, Zagreb
  4. Invention of a new generation of cardiac pacemakers (eleven U.S.A. patents).
  5. Taking part in the writing of two WHO Manuals (Maintenance of Medical Equipment, Interpretation of Ultrasound Images for General Practitioners)

Key Qualifications:
Diploma of Electrical Engineering and Ph.D. in nuclear electronics and X-ray spectrometry
For 22 years the Head of the Medical Physics Department at the University Gynaecological Hospital; 7 months specialisation at the Medical Physic Department, Royal Marsden Hospital, Sutton, London.
