News from the EU Life-like Perception Systems (LPS) initiativeHere are the latest news from the Life-Like Perception Systems (LPS) initiative, the objective of which is to promote research into integrated perception-response systems that take their inspiration from the solutions adopted by living systems. For full details on the initiative, see www.cordis.lu/ist/fetbi.htm. Preproposal service - deadlines 6 July and 31 August (NEW!)The pre-proposal service for the LPS initiative is open. The purpose of this service is provide additional guidance to potential proposers on the scope and eligibility of their project idea. The first deadline for pre-proposals is 6 July 2001 with replies provided by 20 July. We will also open an additional window for pre-proposal submission. Deadline for proposals 17 October 2001The call for proposals for the 'Life-Like Perception Systems' initiative has been delayed until mid-July.
