MEDICON 2004 - AIIMB Student CompetitionSubmission Deadline Extended
Ischia, Italy Italian Association of Medical and Biological Engineering (AIIMB) is pleased to announce some additional information on MEDICON 2004, the 10th Mediterranean Conference of the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE). The main objective of the Conference is to provide the latest scientific and technical information and to present significant developments in the field of Biomedical Engineering and Medical Physics. In the new Information Society, the contribution of these disciplines in Healthcare is becoming more and more relevant. The Conference Program will consist of both invited keynote lectures and submitted papers dealing with latest research, development and technologies in this field. MEDICON 2004 will also incorporate the 2nd Health Telematics Conference. This second edition, following the HT'95 aims to promote discussions, exchange of ideas and interactions about the rapidly-evolving topics of Healthcare Telematics and Telemedicine. The MEDICON 2004 official web site is http://www.medicon2004.unina.it. The homepage supplies you with the most relevant information and dates of the Conference. It will manage the participants' registration, the paper submission, etc. The web site is continually updated. By filling in the registration form you will be kept continuously informed. Read about the conference also in the November 2003 Issue of the IFMBE News. The organisers will also provide infrastructure for special sessions, seminars, workshops, furthermore a Commercial Exhibition will be held at the Conference site etc. If you are interested in organizing such events, please contact the Organising Committee, addressing to Prof. Marcello Bracale. Before the conference, meetings of the IFMBE Administrative Council and Secrataries Committee as well as EAMBES Council meeting and General Assembly will be held. A Special Session will present the results of the European Project named CHART, chaired by prof. Sarannumi. Some other interesting sessions will be organised by the World Academy of Biomedical Technologies (WABT) and by European Society for Engineering and Medicine (ESEM). Special sessions with multiple video-conferences will be organised.
You are kindly invited to participate and stimulate colleagues in submitting papers. Many social events have been planned that offer some relaxation time in a typical Mediterranean environment with typical Mediterranean hospitality.
