CHART Project - The mapping of EMB in Europe

The ProTem Group has won a contract from the European Commission to conduct a cartographical study of the medical and biological engineering resources in Europe. This cartography is expected to cover societies, academic programs and institutions, research institutes, industry and clinical engineering functions in healthcare organisations and of course individuals. The cartography will be carried out using the EAMBES website (http://www.eambes.org/). The website will be extended to enable this. Once the project has been completed the website will serve as an interactive European MBE resource database.

We hope to have the support of the national and transeuropean IFMBE-affiliated societies in creating this database. The planning of the data collection method is underway. We expect to contact you on this with concrete information and a request for assistance in May 2003.
