First Announcement and Call for Papers MICCAI 20014th International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention Utrecht, The Netherlands, 14-17 October 2001 Scope and aim of the conferenceMICCAI is the premier annual conference on medical image computing and computer-assisted intervention. The single-track conference has an interdisciplinary character, bringing together scientists and clinicians. It provides the international forum for developments concerning all aspects of medical image processing and visualisation, image-guided and computer-aided techniques and robot technology in medicine. Paper submissions:Long (eight pages maximum) and short (two pages maximum) papers can be submitted electronically until 1 March 2001. The MICCAI 2001 style file, which can be downloaded from the conference website, must be used. Short papers may discuss methodological works in progress, hardware prototypes, or clinical case studies. Proposals for contributions should be submitted to the tutorial chair (miccai_tut@isi.uu.nl) before 1 March 2001. Industrial Exhibition:MICCAI is a forum where scientific researchers, clinicians and industry meet. MICCAI 2001 offers the possibility for an industrial exhibit during the whole conference.
