Starting from this issue the paper-based newsletter does not exist anymore. What we have instead are two formats. The other one is the same as before. The newsletter appears on our web-page and articles can be downloaded and read.

The other format is a PDF-formatted electronic newsletter. This we'll send to the secretaries of IFMBE affiliated societies by email. The idea is that they will distribute it further to the members of their societies. This can be done either using email with the PDF file as an attachment or by surface mail by printing the PDF file in adequate numbers.

PDF format was chosen because Adobe offers a free reader for them that can be downloaded from the Adobe website.

Naturally, we must monitor that this change over does not cause too much problems to members or member societies. Therefore, all comments and critique are invited.
